Sanjay Dutt born on 29th July, 1959 is an Indian actor the son of legendary actors Sunil Dutt and Nargis Dutt. Sanjay Dutt’s both parents were notable cinema personalities. His parents met on the sets of ‘Mother India’, an Oscar nominated film and got married in 1958.Affectionately called ‘Sanju Baba’, Sanjay Dutt attended the Lawrence Boarding School Sanawar, Himachal Pradesh. He left his education at Elphinstone College midway to join the Indian film industry. His father Sunil Dutt insisted him on taking rigorous acting lessons before finally launching him in 1981 released ‘Rocky’. Sanjay’s mother passed away due to her ailment with pancreatic cancer just five days before the release of ‘Rocky’. The film could not be a commercial success, though Sanjay Dutt was noticed and offered a few more films.Salman Khan made his bollywood debut with 1988 release ‘Biwi Ho To Aisi’, however his first film in a leading role was Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’. Besides being one of the highest grossing Indian films of all times, ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ also earned Salman Khan a Filmfare award for the Best male Debut and A nomination for the best actor. ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ was followed by other commercial successes like ‘Baaghi’, ‘Pathar ke Phool’, ‘Sanam Bewafa’ and ‘Saajan’.

Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’ established Salman Khan as a distinguished actor and multiplied his fan following. ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’ became the biggest hit of 1994 and fourth highest grossing films of all times in Indian cinema. Salman Khan strengthened his success with super hits like ‘Andaj Apna Apna’, ‘Karan Arjun’, ‘Khamoshi’ and ‘Jeet’.
