Raj Kapoor, The ultimate showman of
millenium. He was born in Peshawar, He had started his carrier as a clapper
boy, His first film was Inquilab(1935), After 12 years he worked with Madhubala
in Neel Kamal(1947). When he was of just 24 years, He had established his own
studio, He was production was Aag(1948), Which was not succesfull, but his work
was appreciated. He acted with Nargis under Mehboob Khan in Andaz(1949), which
was big hit. He was producer, director and actor of some films like
Barsaat(1949), Awaara(1951), Shree 420(1955), Sangam(1964), Mera naam
Joker(1970), All those films were blockbuster except Mera naam Joker(1970),
Mera naam joker(1970) was big flop.
Some of his hit production without
direction(1953), Jagte Raho(1956), Jis Desh Mein Ganga Behti hai(1960).
He had acted in many hit films as
hero like Chori Chori(1956), Parvarsih(1958), Anari(1959), Aashiq(1961), Dil hi
to hai(1963), Dulha Dulhan(1964), Sapno ka Saudagar(1968).
After disaster of Mera naam
joker(1970), He produced Kal Aaj Aur Kal(1971) his eldest son Randheer Kapoor's
direction and acting debut, That film was semi hit. In 1973 he introduced his
another son Rishi Kapoor in Bobby(1973) and introduced a new heroin Dimple
Kapadia. Bobby(1973) was Biggest hit of that time, It had breaken all records.After bobby he produced some more
super hit films like Karam Dharam(1975), Satyam Shivam Sundaram(1978), Prem
Rog(1982).His last film as actor was Vakil
Babu(1982) in which his role was "Advocate Mathur".His last film as director was Ram
Teri Ganga Maili(1985) in which he had introduced his youngest son Rajbeer Kapoor.At the time of his death he was
working for Henna(1991) which was completed by his eldest son Randhir Kapoor.Mukesh has sung 95% of songs for
him. He had acted in Teesri Kasam(1966) for 1 indian rupee, Because Shailendra
the producer of that movie was one of his best friend. He had relations with
Nargis but nobody knows the truth.
