Coldplay frontman says live shows are like "30,000 people's lives colliding"

 Chris Martin has said that the band's live shows are the equivalent of "30,000 people's lives colliding" and explained why he doesn't care about being cool. Speaking in a clip taken from Coldplay's 'Live 2012' DVD, Chris Martin describes the excitement leading up to each show and the special moment when he and his bandmates step out onto the stage each night. Speaking specifically about the part of the show in the video found further down the page, Martin says: "When the lights go down, that's 30,000 peoples lives colliding. Everyone there working is working for that moment, everyone watching is watching for that moment. It's when you're all in agreement about what you're all doing so it's a wonderful feeling of togetherness and possibility."

The singer goes on to add: "Whilst it might not be perceived to be really enthused when people show up to hear your music but we don't give a fuck, we really love that. It's exciting when you're 15 and you throw a house party and people come so imagine that on a daily basis with 20,000 people." You can also see an exclusive clip of Coldplay performing 'Clocks' from their live DVD by 'Live 2012' features footage shot at Montreal’s Bell Centre.
